World Stainless Steel Association Announced Proud Winners of 2025 Industry Awards

The Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards in the Safety category was won by POSCO, Acerinox and North American Stainless respectively.
SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The winners of the prestigious 2025 Stainless Steel Industry Awards were announced during the Annual Awards Ceremony of the World Stainless Steel Association.
Acerinox's Vertex Keg, the first and only duplex stainless steel beverage container in the world, won the Gold Award in the Market Development category. It is up to 30% lighter and 30% more environmentally friendly than a conventional keg. Nippon Steel Corporation received the category's Silver Award winner for the Lining on the Aso Tateno Dam's water release apparatus. Additionally, POSCO's safety grating made of extremely durable stainless steel took home the Bronze Award.

POSCO won the Gold Award in the Technology category for creating ultra-grain-refined austenitic stainless steel for battery cases that is strong and resistant to corrosion. POSCO's inventive lightweight roofing system took home the Bronze Award, while Acerinox's JAG Plate Heat Exchangers took home the Silver Award.
In the Safety category, POSCO, Acerinox, and North American Stainless took home the Gold, Silver, and Bronze Awards, respectively.
Nippon Steel Corporation took home the Sustainability category's Gold Award. Acerinox and Nippon Yakin received the Silver and Bronze Awards, respectively.
