German Copper Scrap Prices Fall at Year's End
Accordingly, the German non-ferrous scrap metal marked also ended the year with lower prices.
SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): On the London Metal Exchange, 2024 was characterized by high volatility. Copper prices fluctuated between $8,100 and $10,900 per tonne last year. The final price recorded price of 2024 stood at $8,650, down almost $200 from that reached on Christmas Eve. Accordingly, the German non-ferrous scrap metal marked also ended the year with lower prices.
The wholesale buying price for copper scrap reported by new service MBI for 1 January 2025 had fallen from the prior week's level as did those of brass scrap and red brass scrap.
