Greif to Build New Dallas Corrugated Manufacturing Facility

The products from the facility will mainly serve the agricultural and industrial sectors.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Delaware, Ohio-based Greif, Inc. announced that it is in preparation for opening of a new manufacturing facility in Dallas, Texas. The planned bulk corrugated manufacturing facility is expected to open doors later this spring.

According to company press release, the new manufacturing facility will help the company to significantly expand the capacity in the bulk corrugated business. The opening of the facility will create opportunities in the South and Southwest regions of the country as well as Mexico, it noted.

The plant will initially produce triple wall sheets and jumbo boxes, with additional capabilities such as inline gluing and stitching. The products from the facility will mainly serve the agricultural and industrial sectors.

Chris Zimmerman, Vice President – Containerboard & Corrugated Sales, Grief stated that the company is delighted to establish the new Dallas facility. The facility, equipped with highly automated machinery, will ensure swift response to customer demands, while delivering superior quality products.

Also, the company welcomed Ipackchem after completing its announced acquisition of Ipackchem Group SAS late last year, as part of execution of its Build to Last strategy. The acquisition is expected to be immediately accretive to EBITDA margins.
