DS Smith Signed Corrugated Packaging Supply Agreement with Mondelez
DS Smith and Mondelez will engage in joint efforts aimed at achieving the goal of net zero emissions by 2050.
SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): London-headquartered packaging company DS Smith has entered into an agreement to be the sole supplier of corrugated packaging for food and confectionary brand Mondelez International in Europe. This is the second consecutive five-year deal between the two companies.
The new agreement is an extension of the existing tie-up with a commitment to new projects. It will build on the already established relationship between the two international brands. The collaboration will further enhance their research and development (R&D) programmes to deliver new innovative sustainable packaging solutions.

The companies will ensure delivery of new fibre-based packaging solutions across the European market, by reducing the use of single-use plastics. The economically viable packaging solutions will ensure reduced use of materials and increased recyclability. DS Smith and Mondelez will engage in joint efforts aimed at achieving the goal of net zero emissions by 2050.
Stefano Rossi, CEO of Packaging Division at DS Smith noted that the long-standing partnership with Mondelez will redefine packaging for a changing world and create lasting packaging innovations.
Cyril Goyet, VP Procurement Europe at Mondelez International said that the company is tremendously excited with its next joint venture with DS Smith.
