SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Charlotte, North Carolina-based Nucor Corporation launched new campaign highlighting its commitment to sustainable steelmaking. The “Made for Good” campaign focuses on Nucor’s over five decades of industrial steel production using cleanest techniques.
The campaign features the recent achievements made by the company in sustainable innovations. It highlights the company’s investments in next generation technologies and its involvement in carbon emission reduction efforts. In addition, it also focuses on its own innovative product Elcyon- a locally produced sustainable steel product for offshore wind energy applications.

Nucor is one of the world’s most sustainable steel producers, accounting for more than 25% of the total steel made in the U.S. It employs circular, recycling-based steelmaking process, thus resulting in three times less emissions intensity.
