Council Investigates Two Scrap Metal Collectors in Torfaen
The report said they followed up one complaint and gave advice after finding ‘stored scrap metal’ at the premises.
SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Torfaen Council officers launched investigations into two scrap metal collectors from April 2023 to the end of June 2023.
Councillors on the council’s licensing committee held on 28 September were given an update on the performance of the licensing team during the first quarter of 2023/24.
The report said they followed up one complaint and gave advice after finding ‘stored scrap metal’ at the premises.
The team is also involved in an ongoing investigation with a neighbouring council after complaints about an unlicensed scrap metal deal working in the county without the correct ‘authorisation’.
