Scrap import prices into Turkey fall
The daily scrap index for HMS 1 & 2 (80:20) imports to Turkey fell further on the back of freshly traded cargoes into the country on Wednesday May 15.
Bursa(ScrapMonster): The daily scrap index for HMS 1 & 2 (80:20) imports to Turkey fell further on the back of freshly traded cargoes into the country on Wednesday May 15.
The index closed at $356.59 per tonne cfr, $4.77 per tonne lower day-on-day. A steel producer in Marmara booked a cargo from Northern Europe, comprising 11,000 tonnes of HMS 1 & 2 (80:20) and 19,000 tonnes of shredded at an average price of $363 per tonne cfr, sources said on Wednesday May 15.
