SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): NOVAGOLD Resources Inc. announced financial results for its 2023 first quarter and an update on Donlin Gold- the tier one gold development project it co-owns along with Barrick Gold Corporation.
The company outlined the milestones achieved at Donlin Gold during the first quarter of the current year. The project camp re-opened in February in order to prepare for the field program with a total of 44 employees. The onsite hydrological drilling was advanced to support mine planning and mine design.

This includes commencement of additional fieldwork and geotechnical drilling to collect data, application for a new air quality permit from the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC) and submission of application n for the regularly scheduled re-issuance of the project’s Alaska Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit (APDES.
