Gardner Metal Recycling Relocated to New Bigger Facility

The company had opened its first location in Austin on East Fourth Street almost six decades back.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Gardner Metal Recycling announced relocation to an advanced and expanded facility. The metal recycling business will now operate in Northeast Austin at 9701 U.S. Hwy. 290 East Service Road, off the Johnny Morris Road/Giles Lane exit. Consequently, the company has closed its 8140 S. Congress Ave., South Austin location.

The company had opened its first location in Austin on East Fourth Street almost six decades back. Since then, it has been offering different scrap metal recycling services to commercial, industrial and individual customers.

The company press release stated that the new facility will have expanded processing capacity, in order to ensure more recycling opportunities for the community. The new facility, which is now open to public, will be capable of handling wide range of materials, including copper, aluminum, brass and stainless steel. It will serve a variety of industries with their scrap metal recycling needs.

Andy Johnson, president and chief operating officer of Gardner Metal Recycling noted that the company is very excited to begin its next phase of journey in East Austin. It has come full circle back to this side of Austin and is grateful that it has been able to grow as a business over the past several years, he added.
