The project targets improvement to the smelter’s electrical infrastructure, including the installation of new high voltage cabling and switching equipment. This in turn will lead to significant improvement in the amperage to the site’s two potlines. Furthermore, the investment is also expected to improve the site’s existing anode production process, the company press release noted.
