ISRI Launched New Brands Leadership Council

The Council ensures boosted collaboration recyclers and leading global consumer brands, to address various challenges in the recycling supply chain, including sustainability and design.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) announced launch of new Brands Leadership Council, aimed at delivering significant improvements to recycling and sustainability outcomes. The Council ensures boosted collaboration recyclers and leading global consumer brands, to address various challenges in the recycling supply chain, including sustainability and design.

According to ISRI news release, consumer brands Starbucks, Keurig Dr Pepper, McDonalds, Unilever, and Colgate-Palmolive have joined the Council as inaugural members. The members declared their commitment to advance the sustainability journey together by designing innovative circular solutions towards improving recycling systems.

Announcing the launch, Robin Wiener, President, ISRI said that the Council provides a unique opportunity to join recyclers with the brands that drive and supply consumers around the globe with the goods they want that can be ultimately recycled and put back into the circular economy. It brings together brands and recyclers will help to ensure that products are designed with recyclability in mind. ISRI is excited to welcome brands into its membership and look forward to their valuable contributions, Wiener added.
