Metsa Group Honoured with Excellence and Circular Economy Award
The award winners were announced by Excellence Finland on 11th November, 2021.
SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The Metsa Group of Companies won prestigious awards for its excellence in operations. Metsa Board won the Finnish Excellence Award and the Finnish Circular Economy Award. Also, Metsa Spring was awarded the Quality Innovation Award. The awards highlight the outstanding performance and exemplary results by the companies, compared to its peers.
The award winners were announced by Excellence Finland on 11th November, 2021. The jury made special mention about Metsa Board’s “near textbook” clarity and systematicity in defining its direction and implementing its strategy. The Kuura textile fibre, which won the Quality innovation Award, was nominated as the innovation with the greatest potential, said the press release.
Mika Joukio, CEO, Metsa Board said that the assessments provide an opportunity to further develop its operations and also receive confirmation that it is heading in the right direction. He noted that the company has already made sustainability part of its strategy. Meantime, Niklas von Weymarn, CEO, Metsa Spring attributed the earliest development of Kuura fibre to its numerous R&D partners.
