Constellium's Aluminum Shipments Surged 12% in Q3

The shipments totalled 1.2 million metric tons in the Jan-Sep ’21 period.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Constellium SE- the leading manufacturer of value-added aluminum products reported robust operating and financial results for the third quarter ended September 30th, 2021.

During the quarter, the company’s shipments totalled 395,000 metric tons, significantly higher upon comparison with the corresponding third quarter in 2020. The revenue of €1.6 billion was up by 35% over the prior year quarter. The net income increased multi-fold from €20 million to €99 million. The adjusted EITDA recorded 14% year-on-year jump to total €143 million, whereas the cash from operations totalled €91 million. Constellium reported free cash flow of €40 million during the quarter.

The shipments totalled 1.2 million metric tons in the Jan-Sep ’21 period. The revenue and net income during the nine-month period was €4.4 billion and €255 million respectively. The company reported adjusted EBITDA and cash from operations of €434 million and €239 million. Also, the cumulative cash flow totalled €121 million.

Jean-Marc Germain, Chief Executive Officer, Constellium said that the demand remained strong across its packaging and industrial end markets, whereas demand from automotive and aerospace sector continued to remain subdued. The recent market demand trends are expected to continue through the remainder of the current year, he added.
