DS Smith Announced 3-Year Extension of Recycling Partnership with Tesco

It must be noted that the partnership had earlier won Green Apple Award for its “world-class waste management system” in 2018.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): European packaging major DS Smith plc. announced that it has extended its long-standing paper and cardboard recycling partnership with Tesco for a period of another three years. The strategic partnership has been responsible for recycling of around 300,000 tonnes of paper and cardboard per year from Tesco’s UK retail operations by DS Smith facilities.

Since the inception of the partnership in 1985, DS Smith and Tesco have successfully worked together on innovative solutions, including establishment of source segregated recycling systems, thereby improving the quality of recyclables while reducing carbon dioxide emissions significantly. It must be noted that the partnership had earlier won Green Apple Award for its “world-class waste management system” in 2018.
