Cleveland-Cliffs Declared Changes to Top Executive Management

The company had recently created a new raw material portfolio named Cleveland-Cliffs Services, while maintaining its steel business within the Cleveland-Cliffs Steel division.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Cleveland-Clifs Inc. announced promotion of three leaders to executive management positions, effective 1st September, 2021. The company had recently created a new raw material portfolio named Cleveland-Cliffs Services, while maintaining its steel business within the Cleveland-Cliffs Steel division.

According to company press release, Clifford T. Smith has been promoted to EVP & President, Cleveland-Cliffs Steel. He will lead operations and commercial for all business segments including Steelmaking, Tooling and Stamping, and Tubular Components. It must be noted that Smith currently serves as the EVP, Chief Operating Officer.

Keith A. Koci, currently EVP, Chief Financial Officer has been promoted as EVP & President, Cleveland-Cliffs Services. He will be given corporate responsibility for procurement, logistics, IT, and scrap recycling and lead the Cleveland-Cliffs Services portfolio.

Also, Celso L. Goncalves, currently SVP, Finance & Treasurer, has been promoted to EVP, Chief Financial Officer. He will lead the financial organization for Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. and assume executive responsibility for Finance, Accounting, Tax, Treasury and Investor Relations.

All the above three will report directly to Lourenco Goncalves, Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. Chairman, President and CEO.
