Triple M Metal Announced Acquisition of Ontario Scrap Metal Business
As of now, the acquired yards will continue to run under their current names.
SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Brampton, Ontario-based Triple M Metal LP announced that it has completed acquisition of a major scrap metal player in the region.
By way of 100% acquisition of Peterborough Iron & Metal (PIM), Triple M has added three PIM scrap facilities- the ones in Peterborough, Port Hope and Minden, eastern Ontario to its portfolio. This will increase Triple M’s total number of operating facilities in Ontario to 19 and that in the entire North American region to 31. As of now, the acquired yards will continue to run under their current names.

Commenting on the landmark acquisition, Oscar Moniz, President, Triple M Metal LP said that the acquisition of PIM is in line with the company’s short term and long term sustainability goals. The additional feeder yards and sites will help the company to further strengthen its presence in the Ontario region and thus solidify its position as the region’s largest scrap metal processor, he added.
Triple M has evolved into Ontario’s premier metal recycler over the past forty plus years. The company acknowledged the hard work and dedication of all its employees over the period. It also welcomed new colleagues on board and hoped to deliver even improved performance during the forthcoming years as well.
