Metso Outotec Launched Innovative E-Scrap Solutions Portfolio

The solutions will support a circular economy, said the company press release.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Finnish firm Metso Outotec announced its decision to launch a “comprehensive” electronic scrap solutions portfolio for the smelting and refining of electronic waste. The portfolio comprises the company’s smelting, refining, hydrometallurgy, and gas-cleaning technologies, all of which have already proved to contribute to safe and profitable e-scrap recycling.

The portfolio will consist of complete process solutions and proprietary equipment to solve any e-scrap smelting challenge. The highly automated smelting solutions will comply with the strictest environmental regulations. The solutions will support a circular economy, said the company press release.

The company plans to host two free webinars to discuss its e-scrap systems. The first of them will be held twice on 10th June, 2021 at 2:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time in the United States. Also, the second webinar will be held twice one week later on 17th June, also at 2:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time in the United States.

Lauri Närhi, sales director of smelting at Metso Outotec noted that it intends to provide an optimal process solution with high recovery and availability for a wide variety of secondary raw materials.
