AISI Declared Appointment of Kevin Dempsey as President and CEO
Prior to that, he has been AISI’s senior vice president for public policy and general counsel.
SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) Board of Directors named Kevin Dempsey as its new President and CEO. He succeeds Thomas J. Gibson. It must be noted that Dempsey has been serving as interim president and CEO of the association. Prior to that, he has been AISI’s senior vice president for public policy and general counsel.
John Brett, chairman of AISI noted that Kevin Dempsey has been a driving force for the steel industry’s advocacy for many a years. The AISI member companies have the utmost confidence in Kevin’s leadership and expertise, especially at a time when the global steel industry is challenged not only by the global pandemic, but also by unfair trade practices and massive global steel overcapacity, he added.
