EMR UK Plants to Champion Dismantling of End-of-Life Vehicles
The EMR Vehicle Recycling division will offer responsible scrappage and recycling services.
SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): UK-headquartered European Metal Recycling Ltd. (EMR) has extended support to the transport for London (TFL) scrappage scheme, launched by London Mayor Sadiq Khan. The company’s treatment facilities in Brentford, Canning Town, Mitcham, Neasden, Wandsworth and Willesden will become part of the scheme.
According to the TFL scrappage scheme, people having low income with a registered disability could scrap their polluting vehicle in exchange for 2,000 pounds. This amount could be utilized towards purchase of a greener vehicle or alternative modes of transportation such as a push bike or public transport or savings. The initiative has played a key role in reducing the pollution in London town by more than 40%.

The EMR Vehicle Recycling division will offer responsible scrappage and recycling services. The dedicated company website allows customers to enter their vehicle registration and postcode in order to get a quote for their vehicle. The customers are also provided with an option to request for contact-free collection to the nearest EMR site, in case they are unable to drop their vehicle at the company site. The customers will be provided with certificate of destruction.
The scheme helps customers to swap their non-ULEZ emission compliant vehicles with greener alternative, noted Dan Gannon, EMR ELV Specialist.
