Atlantic Packaging to Build New Recycled Paper Machine in Whitby

The new machine is expected to commence production during the initial quarter of 2022.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Atlantic Packaging Products Ltd.- the largest privately-owned integrated corrugated packaging company officially announced its decision to construct a new 100% recycled paper machine in Whitby, Ontario. The new machine is expected to commence production during the initial quarter of 2022.

According to latest company press release, the new paper machine will be its second recycled paper machine in Whitby. The company has been operating a paper machine since 1990. The proposed new machine will be built adjacent to this machine. The recycled paper machine will be one of the most technologically advanced machines in North America, having a production capacity of around 400,000 tons of high performance light weight medium and liner board per annum.
