DS Smith Highlights Initiatives to Fight Covid-19 Pandemic
The DS Smith initiatives received overwhelming support from its partners as well.
SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): DS Smith- the worldwide leader in packaging products, has been supporting the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic. The company, through its facilities and employees, has extended big support to hospitals, communities and families during these unprecedented times.
In hospitals, it has donated €144,096 towards purchases of essential medical equipment including hand sanitisers, testing equipment, ventilators and respirators. The company has provided PPE such as gloves, gowns, surgical caps, wipes, shoe covers, safety glasses and hospital bins. In Romania, it even purchased a new triage cabin.

In order to support patients and their families, the company has donated mobile phones and tablets, hospital food trays, screens and recyclable bedside tables. Also, DS Smith has donated thousands of boxes to transport hospital clothing, respirators, PPE and hand sanitisers.
The DS Smith initiatives received overwhelming support from its partners as well. For instance, Chivas Brothers manufactured hand sanitiser and Nestle donated food. In addition the scheme to donate toys was supported by Carerefour.
The company has donated thousands of euros and over half a million items to help fight the pandemic.
