World Gold Council Appoints Kelvin Dushnisky as New Chair

Kelvin Dushnisky observed that the WGC has never been stronger and more influential that it is today.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The World Gold Council (WGC) announced appointment of new Chair.

According to Council news release, Kelvin Dushnisky, Chief Executive Officer of AngloGold Ashanti will take charge as the new Chairman from David Harquail, who has been serving in the position since 2017.

Mr. Dushnisky has previously served as President and a Director of Barrick Gold Corporation. He is a member of the International Advisory Board of the Shanghai Gold Exchange and the Accenture Global Mining Executive Council. Also, he is a member and principal business advisor to the Institute of Business Advisers Southern Africa and the Institute of Directors Southern Africa. He also enjoys membership of the Law Society of British Columbia, the Canadian Bar Association, the Business Council of Canada, the Institute of the Americas and the Canadian Council for the Americas.

Kelvin Dushnisky observed that the WGC has never been stronger and more influential that it is today. Meantime, World Gold Council Chief Executive, David Tait thanked David for his leadership. Further he hoped that Kelvin’s knowledge and industry experience will immensely contribute to the Council’s work.
