Alliance Outraged Over MassDEP’s Emission Plan for Wheelabrator

SEATTLE (Waste 360): The Alliance for Health and Environment has issued a press release expressing its “outrage” that a waste-to-energy facility’s Emission Control Plan had been approved by the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection(MassDEP).
According to the release, Wheelabrator Saugus can meet the new standard for NOx emissions by purchasing emission reduction credits rather than installing technology to make the region’s air cleaner.
