DS Smith Forms Partnership with Zeus to Boost Coffee Cups Recycling
The AIL Group has signed on as the first customer of the scheme.
SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): DS Smith entered into new partnership with Zeus- the Ireland-based packaging major to offer nationwide recycling solution for coffee cups. The partnership will provide national recycling infrastructure to ensure that coffee cups do not end up in landfills. As per estimates, Ireland consumes approximately 200 million single-use coffee cups every year.
The scheme is designed in such a way that it collects coffee cups from participants for recycling. As part of the new partnership, Zeus will make use of DS Smith’s uniquely designed coffee cup recycling boxes. The used coffee cups thus collected by Zeus will be forwarded to DS Smith for recycling.
