Nucor Corp. Announces Upper Executive Leadership Rejig
After serving the company for 29 years, R. Joseph Stratman, Chief Digital Officer and Executive Vice President will retire effective June 8, 2019.
SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Nucor Corporation announced key changes to its top leadership. After serving the company for 29 years, R. Joseph Stratman, Chief Digital Officer and Executive Vice President will retire effective June 8, 2019. The company also announced promotion of some of its employees to key leadership roles.
John Ferriola, Chairman, CEO and President of Nucor Corporation recollected Stratman’s outstanding contributions throughout his career with the company. Being an invaluable member of the Nucor team, he provided leadership at various divisions. He thanked Stratman on behalf of all Nucor employees for his significant contributions to the company over the past three decades. Further he wished him a long and happy retirement.
Stratman joined Nucor in 1989 as Controller of Nucor Building Systems-Indiana. Before becoming the Chief Digital Officer and Executive Vice President, he has served the company in several capacities including Controller of Nucor-Yamato Steel Company, General Manager of Nucor Steel-Nebraska, General Manager of Nucor-Yamato, Executive Vice President of Beam and Plate Products, Executive Vice President of Business Development and Executive Vice President of Raw Materials.
Also, Nucor announced that MaryEmily Slate has been promoted to Executive Vice President effective May 19, 2019 and will be responsible for the Tubular Products Group, logistics and certain joint ventures. Lad Hall will remain as the Executive Vice President of Sheet Products and Ray Napolitan will lead the company’s digital initiatives.
