JSW Crude Steel production surges 35% Y-o-Y in April

JSW Steel Ltd (BSE: 500228, NSE: JSWSTEEL), one of the largest Indian steelmakers, has announced that it has posted a 35% year-on-year growth in crude steel production for April.
MUMBAI (Scrap Monster): JSW Steel Ltd (BSE: 500228, NSE: JSWSTEEL), one of the largest Indian steelmakers, has announced that it has posted a 35% year-on-year growth in crude steel production for April.
JSW produced 715,000 mt of crude steel in the given month, down 10% compared to the previous month.
During April, JSW Steel produced 525,000 mt of flat rolled products, up 34%, while long rolled product output amounted to 155,000 mt, increased by 35% both compared to the corresponding month of the previous year.
According to JSW, the capacity utilization at Vijayanagar works remained at 80% in April this year due to inferior quality and inadequate availability of iron ore sold in e-auctions.
