US Nonferrous scrap exports advanced 10.2% in first quarter amid strong gains in deliveries of aluminum and copper scrap, combined with generally strong shipping in March.
WASHINGTON (Scrap Monster): US Nonferrous scrap exports advanced 10.2% in first quarter amid strong gains in deliveries of aluminum and copper scrap, combined with generally strong shipping in March.
March exports of 336,306 tons were advanced 7.1% from 314,107 tons in February.
The monthly total also marked a seven-month high, last breaching this level in August, when deliveries abroad totaled 350,615 tons.
