Singapore Releases 2014 Native Orchids of Singapore Coins

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) has released the 2014 Native Orchids of Singapore Coins. The new coins depict two native orchids –Phalaenopsis cornu-cervi and Coelogyne rochussenii on their reverses.

KAULALAMPUR (Scrap Monster):  The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) has released the 2014 Native Orchids of Singapore Coins.  The new coins depict two native orchids –Phalaenopsis cornu-cervi and Coelogyne rochussenii on their reverses.

Phalaenopsis is one of the most popular orchids in the trade, through the development of many artificial hybrids.

The 2014 Native Orchids of Singapore Coins are one of the fourth series that enjoy the beauty of over 200 species of orchids that once seen everywhere in Singapore.

The obverse of the coins carries the Singapore Arms with the year 2014.
