Royal Canadian Mint to Release Two Coins of $1,000 and $1,250

The Royal Canadian Mint has decided to strike two high-value coins with face value of $1,000 and $1,250 for the collectors.

OTTAWA (Scrap Monster): The Royal Canadian Mint has decided to strike two high-value coins with face value of $1,000 and $1,250 for the collectors.

Both coins would make a record by their giant denomination with a huge $1-million gold coin issued in 2007 featuring 100 kilograms of pure gold.

“They will be introduced on future collector coins to meet demand identified by our customer research,” said communications manager Alex Reeves.

In 2011, the mint launched 10 kilograms of pure gold coin, its second biggest product.
