Long before sustainability and the circular economy were subjects of great social importance, Nehlsen Metaal Recycling was involved in the reuse of raw materials. We are expressly specialized in the purchase and sale of old metals, old iron and waste paper. Our main added value is professional and professional processing of the collected materials.In 1976 the Groninger VOP Recycling was founded, popularly referred to as VOP (which stands for the Old Paper Association). Our company was taken over in 1992 by the German Evert Heeren GmbH. When we took over, we moved to 45 Gdanskweg on the Euvelgunne industrial estate. Over the years, we have developed into a specialist in, in particular, scrap iron, scrap metals and scrap paper. When Evert Heeren was taken over by the Nehlsen Group, we became the only Dutch branch of this group of 60 German companies. On June 1, 2020, our name officially changed to Nehlsen Metaal Recycling.
