Palm Springs Disposal Services

Warren Jaycox entered the waste collection industry in 1933 when he and his father operated hog ranches in Southern California and food waste was collected as a feed source.

In response to the need for organized municipal waste collection service in the 1950s, Warren Jaycox went on to establish W.W. Jaycox Sanitary Services (later known as Jaycox Disposal Company, Inc.) and introduced house-to-house waste trash collection.

Jaycox companies ultimately provided solid waste collection services to multiple communities in Orange and Los Angeles counties including Anaheim, Brea, Costa Mesa, Garden Grove, Leisure World, Paramount, and Placentia.

PSDS was founded by Warren Jaycox in 1972 and is operated today by two successor families; the Jaycox/ Cunningham Family (descendants of Mr. Jaycox, d. 1982), and the Wade Family (descendants of Ray Wade, d. 2009, a business associate of Mr. Jaycox).
