We originally started the business as University of British Columbia students, looking to create an entrepreneurial summer job. Green as we where, we had no idea of the concept's potential, and the business growth that it would generate through the years. In retrospect, while we had tons of unencumbered energy and spirit at hand, it was an entourage of experienced mentors that genuinely fueled our success.That is why 1-800 RID-OF-IT® is a proud to sponsor various University entrepreneurial endeavours across the country. History 1-800 RID-OF-IT® was established as TrashBusters in the heart of the Pacific Northwest in 1995 by a couple of University Students who shared a common appreciation for exceptional customer service.
