Weikert Iron and Metal is a family owned and operated recycling business, in operation for 34 years. For the last 15 yrs. has specializing in appliance demanufacturing, recycling, and proper disposal of hazardous materials. Recently we have included electronic (“E-Waste”) demanufacturing, and recycling. Our modern facility is equipped to properly process “White Goods” and now “E-Waste” in accordance with all city, county, state (Ia. Il.), federal, and E.P.A. mandates, policies, and procedures. Weikert’s maintain required insurances, including, but not limited to $2,000,000 pollution liability, $2,000,000 commercial vehicle, $20,000 collection bond, and all required license, and permits, satisfying states and federal requirements. In accordance with all involved government agencies and branches, Weikert’s remove all hazardous materials and components. These items are recovered, contained, documented, reported, and transported all in accordance with E.P.A. standards. It is our goal to keep all hazardous and recyclable materials out of our landfills, assisting retailers to be compliant in the proper disposal / recycling of “E-Waste” and “White Goods”, also to maintain a documented chain of custody in compliance with E.P.A. procedures. With all collective costs, and responsibilities, Weikert’s strives to make available an affordable, moral, and safe option for the public and businesses alike, in the disposal / recycling of their “E-Waste” and “White Goods”.
