Tupelo Recycling

Tupelo Recycling we believe that our road to a cleaner environment and a brighter future starts in the home. It starts with educating ourselves and our children on the value of recycling and the role it plays in preserving tomorrow. We urge you to give us a call or stop by for a visit if you have any questions concerning our services or how we may serve our community better. It’s up to all of us to work towards more recycling for a healthier environment so that our legacy may be an Earth cleaner than we found it.
Once your recyclables hit our floor, they are sorted on a custom sort line. We separate the plastics, paper, cardboard, steel and aluminum. After separation, these materials are compressed into large bales for easier handling and storage. Once baled, the material is sold to end users who will re-use your recyclables into new products such as printer paper, canned food containers, cardboard boxes, soda cans and a wide variety of plastic products. Every ounce of recyclable material we receive sees new life in other products.
Recycling one glass jar saves enough electricity to light a conventional 60-watt bulb for four hours or an 11-watt compact fluorescent bulb for 20 hours.Trying to figure out which boxes from the kitchen can be recycled can be confusing. A quick tip: if the product can be stored in the cupboard it’s recyclable.
Curbside Recycling
We receive curbside recyclables from several cities in the region through various waste haulers. The recyclable collection day is different than normal garbage day and varies by city.
