A-Plus Waste & Recycling Services

We are a go green company that has been providing Southeastern Massachusetts with residential, commercial and municipal waste and recycling solutions for over a decade. In 2011 we changed our company focus to Single Stream/Organic Waste Recycling & creating natural compost products.

History

In 2000 owner Ronald High founded A Plus Waste & Recycling a company which provided residential MSW curbside services to Plymouth County and its surrounding towns. Within the next few years the company grew to include roll-off and recycling services for both commercial and residential customers. In 2008 Ron acquired the companys current location which was the former K&F Brick Company and spent over 3 years performing a Chapter 21E (a permanent clean-up of contaminated soils) on 7 acres of the 20 acre property. Ron continued to expand A Plus Waste & Recycling Services over the next few years and in 2011 he sold the residential MSW portion of the company and made the main focus to expand A Plus Waste & Recycling Services to provide go-green enviromental solutions which included Single-Stream Recycling and composting for municipalities, commerical and residential customers in South Eastern Massachusetts and Cape cod.

Single-Stream Recycling 

In the begining of 2013 A-Plus Waste & Recycling plans on being able to receive cardboard, paper, plastic etc.... daily.Single-Stream Recycling began in Massachusetts in 2006 and has been growing rapidly ever since. There are approximatly 30 municipalities that have converted in the past 12 months. Single-Stream Recycling will help reduce the amount of trash residents and businesses throw out and in turn will greatly reduce the amount of trash entering our landfills.Once A-Plus Waste & Recycling Services is able to take in single stream productively we will be able to contribute to helping save the enviroment and helping our local economy.

R.O.C.C is GREAT for Organic Use !!

A-Plus Garden

We started our garden in the early spring of 2012. We took pure R.O.C.C (our compost) and laid 1'-2' of it down and started sectioning off areas for all the different seeds we were going to plant. We planted everything from corn, zucchini, tomatos to pumpkins, watermelon and cantaloupe.In 2013 we cleared out the entire garden and once again laid about 2'of R.O.C.C this time around we sectioned off th planting bed areas using logs and large branches inplace of the usual purchased wood so that our garden could remain 100% organic! In the late winter/early spring of 2013 we planted 100+ seedlings in our own compost potting soil mix and bulit a traveling greenhouse to help them grow. When the time was right we planted all our seedling and off they grew !This time we planted a larger variety than the year before, we included cooking herbs, flowers, berries, cauliflower, cabbage, rhubarb, carrots and so much more !! Next year we are getting ambitious and we will be planting tress apple,cherry,pear and a few others.
