Since 1986, Cooper Tank Recycling has served the construction and demolition industry in the New York metropolitan region. Located in Brooklyn, near the Queens Mid-Town Tunnel, our transfer station processes over 1,400 tons of material per day, and is capable of recycling over 85% of the material for beneficial end uses. The company is always searching for new end use markets and striving to increase the efficiency by which it can receive & process materials from our customers. Working with haulage companies, Cooper can provide certification and documentation for LEED credits. In two decades of service, our recycling business has grown and developed into a respected organization, which provides a vital service for the waste handling and recycling industry in New York.
Cooper Tank Recycling is part of Cooper Tank & Welding Corp, which has served the construction and demolition industry for over half a century. In the late 1950's and 1960's Cooper pioneered the manufacturing of containers to satisfy the growing needs of the haulage and disposal industries. Cooper Tank Recycling was established at its current location on 222 Maspeth Avenue in Brooklyn in 1986 and has consistently adopted a progressive, industry leading approach, to recycling and improving process efficiency. The Company also operates two out of state steel trading divisions, offering a wide variety of structural and sheet steel from imported and domestic sources and owns two more container manufacturing sites and a hoist businesses in Connecticut and Ohio.Cooper Tank & Welding Corp. is a privately held, woman owned business and MWBE certified. The various enterprises employ approximately 165 people, most of whom live with their families in local Brooklyn neighborhoods. The company is very conscious of it's responsibility towards the community it shares and strives to operate it's activities in an efficient, clean, and caring manner.
