IT IS OUR GOAL TO KEEP AS MUCH STYROFOAM OUT OF THE LANDFILLS AS POSSIBLE.  BY CREATING OUR DENSIFIED SYTROFOAM, WE ARE PART OF THE PROCESS OF IT RETURNING TO NEW PLASTIC ITEMS THAT WE ALL BUY EVERYDAY.

• We offer FREE drop off at our facility at:15505 S Prairie Carbon River Rd E, Orting, WA 98360
• Our drop off hours are 8:00 to 4:00, Monday through Thursday, Friday 8:00 to 12:00.
• Please note that we can only accept clean and dry Styrofoam.

If you are a business and have a large amount to dispose of, please call and we will make arrangements to pick it up.

• Our story. We saw a need in the south sound for someone who could process the various types of Styrofoam produced for packing materials. We are one of a handful of recycling providers able to handle all three common types of packing foam.
• Environmentally friendly services. When recycled, the foam’s mass is reduced by 90%. It then goes to a second phase recycle process and then is turned into all the plastic items that we buy everyday.
• We’re part of the community. Don’t fill up your garbage can or the landfill with your discarded and unneeded packing foam let R & D Recycling repurpose the foam and help keep our environment “green”. Call us with any questions at 253-241-1904
• Free drop off. There is no cost to drop off your clean and dry Styrofoam. If you are a company with a large amount of Styrofoam to handle, give us a call and we can arrange to help you.

There are 3 types of styrofoam we currently process

• #4 LDPE Low Density Polyethylene packaging forms

• #5 PP Polypropylene also used for sturdy packaging

• #6 PS Polystyrene - typical ice chest or packing 'peanuts'
