We are pleased to offer single stream recycling in the Hayden, Hayden Lake, Dalton, Fernan, Hayden View, and Post Falls areas. Service for single stream will be every other week. Garbage collection will remain every week.This is the easiest and most efficient way to recycle. We look forward to partnering with you in this environmentally friendly effort. We will now be providing only single stream recycling and traditional garbage service combined.RURAL COLLECTION SITES The Rural County Collection Site system is maintained by the Kootenai County Solid Waste Department, and paid for through the Solid Waste Fee included on your property taxes. It does not include the transportation of residential or commercial garbage, which is the prompt, dependable service CGS/PFS provides.  Items that CANNOT be recycled: No glass of ANY kind No plastic bags No plastic utensils No Styrofoam No batteries No shredded paper No paper towels or napkins No yard waste No food waste No needles or syringes No toxic containers No fluorescent bulbs
