You must call our office at 972-734-3333 or complete the service card to initiate service. Collection IntervalsEvery other week on Monday, Wednesday OR Friday (call to find out the correct day & rotation for your address). Items must be out at the curb by 7:00 a.m. Collection MethodSeparate or mixed contents in Blue recycling bags OR you may put loose recyclables into a container that is labeled Recycle only. DO NOT PUT RECYCLABLES INTO A CONTAINER THAT IS NOT LABELED AS RECYCLE ONLY. Black or opaque bags will be taken to the landfill. No single bag or container heavier than 35 lbs. will be collected unless it is compatible with the tipping mechanism on our trucks. SuppliesBWDS sells a 95-gallon recycling container for $90.00 OR we will provide stickers at no charge to put on your own container. You may purchase the clear blue recycling bags from Barnes WDS or Lucas City Hall (please call for the latest quantity and pricing information). You may also purchase similar bags made by Hefty/Glad at local grocery stores such as Tom Thumb, Kroger, Albertson’s & Brookshires. Billing/Cost$5.00 per month billed in six-month increments; ($30.00 billed by BWDS every June and December) Because the recycling program is optional, it cannot be added to your water bill. All recycling services & supplies will be billed directly by BWDS. RemindersWe will be happy to send you an e-mail reminder during the weeks of collection. Simply provide us with your e-mail address.
