Nancy Ogburn received the 2012 Greater Women’s Business Council Trailblazer of the Year Award – Category I. She was recognized for exemplifying an example of the opportunities available through the efforts of entrepreneurial women and her participation in the free enterprise system by taking risks and being innovative. As a winner of this award Nancy is recognized for exhibiting community leadership as well as her business leadership. This award places Nancy among some of the most high profile women, making this accomplishment and designation a truly outstanding landmark in her career.

Tomato Palms, LLC was presented the Green Small Business Award at the 2012 Keep the Midlands Beautiful Gala for a Greener Midlands. The award was presented for their exceptional work in making the Midlands a cleaner, greener, more beautiful community. Nominations were accepted from the community and selected by the Keep the Midlands Beautiful Executive Committee.

Nancy Ogburn was presented the 2011 Conservation Award by the Woodmen of the World Lodges 2 and 1151. 'The award was given for environmental efforts of her recycling company, Tomato Palms. The award includes the following Native American proverb: “We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children.'

Tomato Palms received the 2010 Best Small Recycling Business award at the Department of Commerce/Recycling Marketing Development Advisory Council recycling forum in October 2010.

Our services are customized to meet the specific needs of the client, and our goal is to ensure all businesses now have the opportunity to recycle.Adding recycling to your apartment or condo is easy with Tomato Palms.Tomato Palms donates a portion of the proceeds from the sale of aluminum cans to our local community homeless shelters.

How it Works

• The recycling bins are provided as a part of the service.
• You and your staff simply drop the materials in the bin. We will handle all the details.
• The Tomato Palms staff will service each bin and pick up the recyclable materials directly from the bin.
• The materials are then weighed and hauled to the proper Materials Recovery Facility*. The weights will be included in South Carolina's overall recycling percentages.
• You will receive an end of the month report which provides the total weight of the materials you have recycled.
• Tomato Palms enters the total weight recycled by its clients into the South Carolina Smart Business Recycling Program.
