Envision Plastics is a technology leader in HDPE recycling and the only producer of food grade high-density polyethylene (HDPE) in North America. HDPE bottles collected curbside from homes, businesses and schools are recycled to produce HDPE resins for the food, beverage, personal care, consumer healthcare and general-purpose industries.With plants in Reidsville, NC and Chino, California, Envision Plastics also produces premium grade, natural color and mixed color and utility grade resins in flake and pellet form. Our services extend to toll processing that allows molders to reuse their own plant scraps and product design consulting. Starting with a concept and state of the art HDPE recycling systems, Envision Plastics was formed in 2001 after obtaining proprietary rights and patented technologies from Union Carbide. At the same time, two newly acquired plastics recycling facilities, in Reidsville, NC and in Chino California, provided the manufacturing platforms needed for recycled HDPE resin production. The two facility locations also allowed for ease in distribution to customers from either the east or west coast.In the last decade, Envision Plastics has commercialized the production of core Union Carbide technologies and improved them to their current industry leading positions. We worked with Method®, a California company, to produce the world’s first plastic made from recycled ocean waste. Ocean plastic bottles are made with a blend of recovered ocean plastic and post-consumer recycled plastic, a combination that results in a uniquely gray resin. Method is known for innovative design – dish-washing liquid in sleek bowling-pin-shaped bottles, teardrop hand soap bottles, and futuristic-looking mops.
