Rochester Iron & Metal started out on a small 1 acre lot in Akron, Indiana over 50 years ago.  In 1995, the yard was moved to a 3 acre lot on the  north side of Rochester, Indiana.  After 15 years of steady growth and the addition of a facility in Kokomo, Indiana, Rochester Iron & Metal is now located on 30 acres of land in Rochester's booming industrial park.Our new facility features a covered, drive-thru drop-off facility, and the new Model 60 AutoShredder, assembled on-site by the Wendt Corporation.  This new machine can process up to 60 tons of Automotive and Light Scrap iron per hour.
