HISTORY OF BESTWAY

The year was 1927 and the late Edward Kiemel was operating his scavenger firm in Chicago with his new Nelson LaMoon truck. Boards were used to build up the sides of the truck and as the refuse got higher wooden frames with chicken wire were used on top to hold everything down.Boards were often laid across the truck so he could walk over and compact the garbage.The Kiemel name is well known in the waste removal and recycling business, from the early days in Chicago till now, some 70 years later as two fourth-generation garbage men, Tom and Phil Kiemel, still work in the disposal business with the same work ethic and dedication to service as their great-grandfather.Now they operate modern equipment and service thousands of residents in Colorado Springs, Manitou Springs and the Fountain Valley. The Kiemel family has owned Bestway since 1967. Tom and Phil’s father began with three trucks and a few hundred customers. Colorado Springs grew throughout the ’60s and ’70s and Bestway grew along with the city to become the state-of-the-art rubbish removal and recycling operation that it is now.Bestway remains committed to the principles established generations ago:

BUSINESS RECYCLING

WayGreen is the name of Bestway’s recycle program. This program will allow your business to divert the maximum amount of recyclable items from the trash to a Bestway-provided recycling container. No longer will you be required to separate items to different containers, making the new program easy to manage. Additionally, we have added many new items to dramatically increase the things you are able to recycle 
We are experts at assessing your waste stream and helping you implement a comprehensive recycling program. We will help your business divert the most waste while saving landfill space and doing your part to help our national recycling efforts.

ROLL-OFF SERVICE

Since 1950, Bestway Disposal has offered unmatched service in solid waste removal for both residential and commercial customers in Colorado Springs, Manitou Springs, and the Fountain Valley.Today our roll-off service is the best in the city due to our “Indisposable Service Guarantee,” a no-questions-asked customer service guarantee that promises you the following services or your money will be refunded for the scheduled pickup.

• We will deliver and/or pick up the roll-off container within 24 hours. (Please consider that we operate Monday thru Friday for this service.)
• We will place the container exactly where you want it.
• We will clean up the area surrounding the container after removing it from the site.
