History

CNA Metals was founded in 1995 in Stafford, Texas as a metal trading company focusing on trade between the US/Europe and India in non-ferrous materials. As the company grew over the years, so did its growth and international reach. Between 2000 and 2005, CNA was one of the highest non-ferrous exporters to India. In 2001, the company diversified its portfolio into ferrous materials. Along with that, the company decided to shift its primary consumer focus from India to the Far East. Since then, CNA has been procuring materials from North/South/Central America, Europe, Africa, Australia and have been selling to North America, Europe, and Asia. In 2009, ferrous materials accounted for 30% of our total sales portfolio, while non-ferrous was 70%.

In 2006, CNA opened up its first extension in Miami, Florida, whose focus was to increase procurement of materials from South America. Shortly after, the company opened up a non-ferrous scrap yard along with a trading office, Trinity Metals, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Recently, they started to venture into the realm of e-scrap. Since then, we have added trading offices in Caracas, Venezuela and Vancouver, Washington.
