Recycling helps save resources, energy, and money.  It keeps materials out of the landfill, provides jobs, combats global warming, and “closes the loop” through the creation of new products out of recycled materials.  With the roll-out of expanded recycling programs and food composting for all customers, recycling rates in Napa have gone up to nearly 70%….thank you for your help and cooperation as we work towards 75% and higher!

Napa Recycling works together with the City of Napa, Napa County, and our customers to:

• Offer recycling and composting services to all our customers
• Reduce air pollution with the use of eight trucks that run on
• Compressed Natural Gas
• Increase recycling and decrease garbage bills through business waste assessments
• Increase recycling opportunities at special events in Napa County
• Be a local company involved in the local community
• Produce organic compost from Napa’s yardwaste, food scraps & grape pomace
• Reach towards a Zero Waste Napa

Commercial Services

Napa businesses also receive single stream recycling and yardwaste collection along with their garbage service at no extra charge.  For single-stream recycling, put it all together in your mixed recycling cart or bin!  Recycling and yardwaste service is available in carts (35, 65 or 95 gallon) or bins (1½ to 6 yards).   Food composting service is also now available to all businesses.

As part of California’s efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and reach a 75% recycling rate by 2020, recycling is now mandatory for all large businesses and apartment complexes.  In Napa, we make it easy for your business – so call now to start or improve your recycling program!  For more info, visit CalRecycle’s Mandatory Commercial Recycling page.  Starting in 2016, composting will soon be mandatory as well for businesses that generate organic waste – our food composting program will help your business divert material from the landfill to our local composting facility!
