GenAlta Recycling Inc. operates an automobile shredder at our facility in East Edmonton adjacent to the AltaSteel mill. We purchase a wide range of shreddable ferrous scrap from a variety of customers ranging from individuals with one or two items to manufacturers generating a broad range of industrial scrap to auto wrecking yards and scrap collectors. In addition, we have the ability to purchase “dirty” non-ferrous scrap (items with ferrous metals or other materials attached) that can be efficiently processed and separated through our shredding process.
