Brew. Recycle. Repeat: Cambio Roasters and TerraCycle Launch the Cambio Roasters Free Recycling Program
TRENTON, NJ, March 10, 2025 – Cambio Roasters is brewing up a new sustainable solution for its aluminum coffee pods. Today, the coffee brand known for turning everyday coffee moments into sustainability wins launches the Cambio Roasters Free Recycling Program – a convenient solution to recycle its aluminum coffee pods. The program, launched in partnership with international recycling leader TerraCycle®, highlights the balance of innovation and sustainability. The aluminum coffee pods deliver a premium coffee experience, while the recycling program supports their eco-friendly design as a better alternative to traditional plastic pods.
“At Cambio Roasters, we’re passionate about delivering exceptional coffee that aligns with our commitment to sustainability,” said Kevin Hartley, CEO of Cambio Rosters. “Partnering with TerraCycle allows us to offer a simple and effective solution for recycling our aluminum pods. By participating in the Cambio Roasters Free Recycling Program, coffee lovers can enjoy their favorite brews while contributing to a cleaner planet. Together, we’re proving that small actions—like recycling a single pod—can make a meaningful difference.”
Every year, billions of plastic coffee pods end up in landfills and incinerators. With the Cambio Roasters Free Recycling Program, coffee lovers are given an easy, actionable way to change that. Simply drop the spent Cambio aluminum pods into a box, and when it's full, download a prepaid shipping label from the TerraCycle program page and send it back. Once received, TerraCycle will handle the rest. The collected materials will be cleaned, melted, and recycled into aluminum ingots that can be used to make new products, while the coffee grounds will be industrially composted.
Cambio Roasters is a small, family-owned company committed to sustainability through thoughtful design and community impact. Focused on reducing single-use plastics, Cambio creates easy-to-recycle coffee pods with eco-friendly packaging, recently recognized with an iF Design Award. Their mission extends beyond products—20% of every dollar earned supports coffee farmers who struggle with food insecurity. By making pod recycling simple and giving back to coffee-growing communities, Cambio Roasters shows that great coffee can do great things.
The Cambio Roasters Free Recycling Program is open to everyone: individuals, schools, offices, and community organizations. Whether you’re a dedicated coffee drinker or simply want to make a positive impact, this program makes it easy to recycle.
