Established in 1946 as a one man machine shop in Duarte, CA., Barrel Service Company today is a contract manufacturer with 40 employees located in North San Diego County, CA. in a 22,000 square foot building on 5 acres.
Our Specialty is the machining of parts that are larger than 1' in diameter and smaller than 18' in diameter. The maximum length we can machine is 51' and the maximum weight of raw material per piece is 100 lbs. We can run up to 5-1/2' diameter material through the spindle.
Sixteen CNC Lathes plus five Machining Centers are the workhorses in our shop. These are complemented by Horizontal and Vertical conventional mills and two large Automatic Band Saws.
We have experience in machining mild steel, alloy steel, manganese steel, stainless steel, tool steel, aluminum, brass, aluminum bronze, iron castings, steel forgings and plastic.
The people in our Quotation and Planning Department have over 50 years of experience and we do all of our machine maintenance, both electronic and mechanical.
