We manufacture titanium and other specialty alloys as wire and bar in various shapes. We put our knowledge to use to provide unique wire and bar solutions for each and every customer application. With expertise dating back to 1979, we pride ourselves on our deep technical knowledge and customer service focus.

In 2018, G & S Bar and Wire became part of Fort Wayne Metals. Dedicated to serving the medical device industry and other critical applications with precision wire, Fort Wayne Metals has a long history of providing technical expertise and customer-focused material solutions. We're proud to be part of the family and to align our customer-service goals, titanium knowledge, and high-quality products with theirs.

Green energy

As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, and providing cost-effective solutions for customers, we also continue to look for ways to improve our environment.

In 2012, we invested in solar power to provide an effective source of energy to power our office space and, at the same time, reduce carbon dioxide emissions. The 276 solar panels on our campus power the office space with 81 megawatt-hours of electricity each year, the equivalent to the total amount of electricity consumed by eight homes a year.

In addition to cost savings over traditional utility electricity, solar power also creates a tremendously positive environmental impact. We've reduced our carbon footprint by preventing the release of 87 cubic tons of carbon dioxide emission into the air every year. To put this into perspective, that amounts each year to the following: planting 38,725 trees, driving 149,531 fewer miles, and taking 328 cars off the road.

We're proud of our ongoing solar energy initiative, a cleaner, more cost-effective source that contributes to an overall better environment, at work, in our community, and across the world.
