James Steel has been providing quality pre-engineered Varco Pruden buildings in South Dakota, Northwest Iowa and Northeast Nebraska for over 40 years. We specialize in Steel Buildings, which include; Agriculture, Commercial, Fire Halls, Schools, Churches, Community Centers, and Aviation. To date, James Steel, has won a number of different awards including the 2005 Simple Saver National Safety Award.

As an authorized Varco Pruden Builder, James Steel builds 500,000 square feet of pre-engineered buildings annually. There are currently seven VP plants located thourghout the United States, and is the largest building manufacturer. James Steel has been an authorized VP builder since 1980.

With over eighty percent of our business being repeat customers; James Steel bases their success on customers. James Steel has sold over fifteen hundred Varco Pruden buildings and that number keeps growing. Our company base extends within a 100 mile radius of Yankton; however, James Steel has completed projects in Rapid City, Illinois, Des Moines, Iowa, and in the Minneapolis area.
